Leadership and Peer SupportGPP3O
This grade 11 credit is open to all students, excepting Grade 8 graduates. It is an engaging way to learn about supporting others and developing conflict resolution skills while hiking through the woods, paddling down a river or swinging 50 feet in the air. This course is also 100% outdoor adventure.
This Grade 12 University/College preparation course ups the ante in terms of responsibility and facilitation. It includes all of the heart-pounding adventure of whitewater paddling, the hard work of long camping trips and the joys of finding your feet in a brand new group of peers. It gives extra focus to a student’s development of their own unique leadership style and ability to help inspire and guide their peers.
May be used towards College or University Admission. This course requires a student already have completed a Physical Education or Outdoor Education course.
Older students are encouraged to consider our 4-credit program, where students earn four full credits for assuming a supportive leadership role on three 13-day summer programs.
Parents are encouraged to contact Steven Gottlieb to explore the nuance of this program in greater detail.
